Im looking to purchase a desktop PC for a lot of HD video editing. I was looking at this page. http://www.nextag.co.uk/i7-desktop/stores-html
Is the first computer and third computer on this page good enough for the job? If so which do you think out of those two you would say’ll be the better purchase.
If you could recommend me any good PCs for editing then link me.
Thanks.

They have plenty of processor power, but the hard disks are too small for extensive video editing. 500gb is the standard size for everyday consumer computers these days. For an HD video editing computer you’ll want at least 1TB, and reall more like 1.5B or higher. While you can add space with a separate 2nd drive, Dell’s factory power supply might not be enough for anything beyond the original configuration you purchase from them.
Between them the 3rd system is better because it has more RAM, but I’d suggest looking for a system with 6gb rather than 4gb.
You’d have better luck customizing a system on Dell’s site or better yet, having a local computer dealer build a system for you. You don’t need a high-end gaming card for video editing… something like a Radeon HD 5450 or GeForce GT220 is plenty.
Dan to me it seems OK. Go ahead with it. It should be able to handle your demand. ALso install reginout for optimal performance.
Not a fan of DELL due to their insistance on being proprietary.
Any computer with Intel or AMD Quad core processor running 2.8Ghz or better and 6Gb of RAM is a good candidate. A good Graphics card will also give you better performance for your application.
The Intel I3, I5 and I7 are as one would think have better performance in graphics over its lower numbered version.
