Calculate the information content received in a TV picture from a High Definition System assuming it has 1080 lines each of which has 1920 distinguishable horizontal position assume that each position is a combination of a triad of three dots red, blue, and green each of which can have 16 different shades. Assume all pictures are equally likely.

    16 shades of color is 4 bits (actual picture has a lot more shades, probably 256)
    4 bits for each color is 12 bits
    12 bits x 1080 x 1920 = 24 883 200 bits, about 25 Mb
