@ PCWizKid. i live in MAURITIUS and since graphics cards are in very very low demands here, graphics card prices are excessively high. A HD5770 cost about 262 us dollars(that’s right) here and i’m getting a new HD4870 or GTS250 for about 160 us dollars from a friend(without warranty). is dx11 very important, could you suggest a suitable motherboard for the hd 4870 and i’m only going to be playing games at 1366*768 resolution. (PLEASE REMEMBER PRICES ARE 30-40% HIGHER HERE THAN IN THE US)

  9. iphone3gs78

  10. yellowcard1494

@AmbitionzGamer yeah. thanks. im getting a new PSU as well.

  11. yellowcard1494

@AmbitionzGamer what he is saying is that a card that is designed for DX11 will run better with DX11 on your computer instead on 9 or 10.

  12. AmbitionzGamer

@enqane open up your computer and look at the sticker on the PSU. also make sure it has a 6 pin, because the card requires a 6 pin connector.

  13. enqane

    @AmbitionzGamer
thanks, but where can i see how many w my psu has?

  14. AmbitionzGamer

@yellowcard1494 the card supports pciex16 and 2.0, so it doesn’t matter, so yes it will work. Just make sure your psu can run it.

  15. AmbitionzGamer

@enqane doesn’t matter , a video card will work in anything. so yes. just make sure the card can fit into your computer and have about a 500 w psu for this card or 450.

  16. AmbitionzGamer

games does not run better in dx11, they are more demanding in dx11 or dx11. Obviously with dx9, games will run flawless. DX9 is where its at, dx10 and dx11 is all hype with only a little bit of visual improvement.

i have an older computer with an older MoBo, probably somewhere around 2006-2007, and it has a PCIe x16 slot. but its not 2.0. will this card work with this board? it is the intel D945GCL.

  18. ClankyRochet

@PureOxCash Go for HD5770 Its a better card. I have 4890 but Im thinking of moving on to 5800 series because direct 11.

  19. SalarosTube

man, what’s wrong with your voice?

  20. enqane

does this card work with quad core from intel????

  21. PureOxCash

@UneX100 Thanks i got the HD 5770 and im loving it

  22. UneX100

@PureOxCash If I would be you I would go for the latest and greatest. But in your position choose 5770. Because, It does support DirectX 11 and Shader Model 5 and 4890 only supports DirectX 10.1 and Shader Model 4.0. Which means. With 5770 you would get better looking games, more fps on HIGHER settings. Lets say 4890 runs GTA on MAX SETTINGS maybe on 30fps, but 5770 would probably give you 40. So it would be good choice if you’d chosen 5770.

I quick question… I need a little help. I got a good build on the iBUYPOWER website. I’m getting an ATi Radeon HD 5770 like the one in the video. Do you suppose the site will include the DVI to VGA because my monitor does not have DVI.

  24. PureOxCash

    Wizkid please help me
I am currently building a system but i cant decide what card to go with
    HD 5770
    or HD 4890
the CPU is AMD Phenom II X4 945 3,0ghz

i watched GTA 4 vids and people say the 4890 gets more frames then the 5770 i am confused which to go for

  25. tributeforlife

@icexiro if you do not have a 6pin connector connected to your power supply then i sugest a new watt supply, but if by the off chance you do not have one just tell them and they should give you one with the buy
