Im thinking about buying a HD webcam and i was wondering, do i need a HD video card for this to work ? I’d imagine it would but would the HD card improve the quality or would i just be waisting my money ?

well it depends on if YOU are going to be watching the web cam – if not then it all depends on if the other end has an HD video card to really benefit. to be honest i don’t think it’s worth the money – get an 8MP web cam and that will be as clear as the other end can handle – unless you have a massive upload speed limit anything above 8MP including HD is going to be really glitchy due to the amount of data it has to send per second.
if you are going to be watching it you will need an HD video card AND monitor to reap the benefits
