How can I use a PC to Play a movie on a LCD TV at the same time using it as a computer with another monitor?


I want to use to My PC for two purposes simultaneously – 1. to play some visual presentation on a LCD TV , 2. to use it as a normal coputer with another monitor. Please tell me the software and the hardware required for it. I am looking for a cost effective way for my application. I came across the thin client technology from the internet. Is it suitable for me or is it too expensive?

    You would have to have a video card that supports dual monitor output and then enable both monitors via display properties (right click on desktop – properties). You can set it up to split the display in half, so that half the desktop is shown on one screen and half on the other. Then run the presentation on the LCD TV by positioning the application running it on that side and use the other monitor to work with another application.
