How do I fit native resolution onto 26" lcd tv from computer?

I have a nvidia go 7600 graphics card in my laptop. It has hdmi output so its connected to the vizio 26" lcd with hdmi. The problem is that when I set the resolution to the native resolution of the tv, then the left side of the screen is cut off. How can I fix this?

    go into the nvidia control panel in the control panel or display settings, then find something that lets you position the screen.
