How do I set my 40″ Samsung LCD tv for best picture quality?

I’d like to know how to get the best settings for picture quality for my Samsung 40" LCD tv?

set ur tv to picture mode dynamic contrast 100 backlite 10 energy saving off color 55 tint in the middle briteness 40 to 55 range this is what the stores usually run on there tv i have samsung lcd good settings for movies 2

here is a fantastic tip:
have a look at your DVD collection and look for the ones with a wee "THX opimizer" logo on it.
put it in your spiner and go on the thx thing, follow the instruction and you will have the best result, for no money.
and of course, use a hdmi for your dvd if you can and dont have one already.

Albin is correct.

You can also find a recent Pixar movie (WallE, Cars, Up) and the setup menu has test patterns and instructions on how to set the brightness, color and contrast.

This only works for the DVD player. You then may have to mimic the picture image for normal TV watching. (Many better televisions have separate settings per input.)
