Like if u rent a HD movie will it play it? Cause u can download HD movies off the marketplace so i was thinking it could play HD DVD’s if u buy em and try to play it?

If you download HD movies from the market place then no you don’t need the HDDVD you only need the HDDVD player if you want to play HD DVD’s =)

Only the Elite model has HD when an HD cable connector is used. No you will not get HD on your X-Box, even if you buy the HD XBox player unless you have Elite. High Definition is sent through a signal and transmitted through a certain type of cable wire to an HD receiver.
No you need an HD DVD player to play HD DVDs. dont bother with them tho because Samsung is not making them anymore. Blu ray has taken over
