Is it good to buy a LCD TV at Singapore or Malaysia?

I will be traveling to Singapore and Malaysia on next week. And I plan to buy a 32 inch LCD TV there. So Is it good to buy there and Is it safe to bring that to India on Check-in baggage.

And Do we need to pay any extra tax like GST in singapore?

Yes. You can get a good deal. Make sure the T.V. is from a RECOGNISED/AUTHORISED DEALER of the product for warranty reasons and make sure it is the correct voltage or current for the country you will be using the t.v. at. Don’t worry about the plug pattern on the power cord bcs you can purchase a multi pattern adapter for very cheap or free from the vendor if buying his product.

Yes, if from a legitimate dealer, an d their power, video, and RF format is the same as yours, so the set will be compatible at home, and shipping/duties is affordable.

Also, there will likely be no domestic warranty support for foreign purchased goods from the domestic distributor.

    Generally I would not.
