    yes u can but it would be widescreen for hd but the standard tv will cut off alot of the picture.

    You can plug in any HD source to a non-HD source, but you’ll be receiving 480p at most. For an HD box you’ll have to output via composite/component. Coaxial would connect as normally.

    Yes, but you have to wear "special" glasses and a foil hat.

    Yes. All HD boxes I know of have SD output that works fine on SDTVs.
