I have heard about high definition images. My first impression was: an image having 1920*1080 resolution but one of my friend told HD image doesn’t mean 1920*1080.
Can any body clear what does "high definition image" exactly mean? Is there any camera capable of capturing High Definition photos?
Thanks and best regards.

Well the HD you are referring to is for video. Most Digital still cameras will shoot well above that amount. You would actually have to lower the resolution in an still camera for them to be HD.
There are two kinds of HD, I and P. I stands for interlaced. P stands for progressive. While not to get into the detail, progressive scan is better because they are scanning every single line, Interlaced does not.

I think you are confusing High Definition with HDR (High Dynamic Range) images. High Definition just deals with the number of pixels in an image.
