OK here is the question, I am looking to get a new tv, I want to get a plasma tv, i do not have high def just yet, but I am looking into upgrading my dish very soon, I have an xbox360 and stuff, will my normal dish programing still be viewable even though it is not hd?

You will be able to view SD TV.
Standard definition TV does not look as good on an HDTV as it does on a comparably sized SD TV.
The problem is that the SD signal has to be de-interlaced and processed to add lines of resolution to match the HDTV’s screen resolution. This process degrades the picture.
Even after you upgrade to HDTV, you’ll still be watching a lot of SD TV.
