i have the older (2008) sz series, should i just stay and wait a while? cause i sorta want to save up to buy a new computer since i cant use hd video editing here since its the windows vista business class… but i do want something small, fast, and similar to my current computer this sorta looks like it but in a rounder form… also want battery life for when i am on the go, but i dont go out much with my computer.

It looks nice, but is it built well? How sturdy and solid does the laptop feel to you? How is the keyboard in terms of feeling well-made or not?

@tim128lee i agree with gadgetfann…i just had my cw for almost 2 months now and it’s really a nice looking and good perferming laptop. However the battery life is a little bit disappointing, but not that bad…

@gadgetfann I am thinking of buying it, but I often watch videos on my laptop. Can this laptop play HD 720p video without serious lags?

  17. chasna

who this laptop? how is it? im thinkin about buyin one

  18. marcohde19

This is far better than the MacBook Pro with Intel Core 2 Duo, Sony has the CULV Intel’s fastest Processor with great performance and low voltage consuming, allowing a video, music or photograph professional go outside for 8 hours without caring the power would go down. For me these laptops are better than those with Core i3 or Core i5 since these CPU’s use too much power and consumes battery very fast

  19. DeathToTheseWalls

Hey, what do you think of this laptop?

Is it powerful enough? How is the battery life for you?

  20. jasonloden

@gadgetfann how long does the battery last on word documenting, excel, browsing etc. and how fast is the processor because i hear it’s a low ghz

  21. imp999killer

hey, just wondering, can you play windows games on these, or any other sony vaio series?

  22. Hvrootselaar

    @gadgetfann
Well, when I’m using I-tunes the processor is at his maximum. It isn’t a laptop for heavy software for sure! :(

  23. gadgetfann

@tim128lee The CW has better performance, but nothing beats the battery life of the Y. I literally NEVER take the power supply with me when I leave the house now. It’s a relief not to think about losing power.

  24. gadgetfann

@freezerlunik Real world – 5 hours standard battery 7 hours extended battery. That’s without trying to conserve any power. I have been able to get more life out of the batteries by dimming the screen, though.

On the sony site you can customize the color. (EU)
