Toshiba hd dvd player for Sharp Aquos 1080p?

I saw a Toshiba HD-2D hd dvd player for a very good price and it had very good reviews. Will this work well with my 46" Sharp Aquos 1080p or should I get a different Toshiba model?

    HD-D2′s can only display up to 1080i.

    Try the HD-A20, HD-A35 or HD-XA2 HD DVD players to get the 1080p potential of your TV.

    Although, the difference between 1080i and 1080p is not that noticeable.
