If you live in the UK you only have HD if you pay for it from sky, which means buying their little black box at a cost of around £300, plus £10 a month rental.
HD ready just means your tv is ready to accept HD when ever a signal is available to all, maybe in 4 years time (maybe not)!
So HD ready means nothing at the moment without the signal.
i dont think there is any diffrence at all
HD Ready is a picture format of 720p/1080i and True HD is 1080p/1920i resolution.
Sky HD is currently only broadcasting in the 720p/1080i resolution as is the games produced for the latest games consoles. To enjoy the benefits of True HD you firstly need a tv capable of the 1080p/1920i and then you need a Blu-Ray player playing Blu-Ray discs.
It is a massive difference. Read more here.
